PassportsNow is the time to start getting your passports lined up. While these can be done within a month, it is good to get a head start in case there are complications. If you are renewing a passport, you currently must do it by mail as online renewals are paused. Support lettersSome of you may be interested in writing support letters to your friends and families to help raise support for your trip. Below is a link to a website that can help you write your letter. Be sure to include how people can make payments (Venmo, Cashapp, paypall, gofund me, check, etc.) Be sure to consider fees associated witht things like gofund me. If people want a tax reciept, you may have them send a check to the church at

Jared, Johnie mentioned to me that having someone's personal name on a check (possibly even in the memo area) might disqualify it from tax deduction purposes. If that's so, then people need to be aware that checks sent to the church to get a tax receipt must not include the individual's name who it is getting credited to. There would instead need to be some note sent with the check to tell the church who the check is credited to. Is that how you understand it?
