Children's Ministry
Sunday Mornings:
Children are encouraged to attend camp each Summer at Camp CYOKAMO. Scholarships are available for those who may need financial assistance in order to attend.
- 9:30 -- Sunday School
- Classes are available for all children's ages. The classes include: Nursery, Pre-School, Kindergarten/1st Grade, 2nd/3rd Grade and 4th through 6th Grade. 6th grade has the option of joining the Jr/Sr High class (meets in the basement). All classes, except 4th-6th, can be found off of the main hallway. The 4th-6th Grade class meets in a basement classroom.
- 10:30 -- Children's Church
- This is a separate worship service just for the kids. Usually, the children stay in the adult's worship service until after the offering/communion time. Then they go into our "King's Kids room" where they have a lesson time oriented to their age group.
- During school year: 5:30 to 7 -- King's Kids
- The kids put on a special program around the end of May in the Spring and close to Christmas in December. This involves acting, singing and some choreography. Sunday evenings during the school year are normally spent preparing for these programs.
- Summer schedule: 5:30 to 7 (generally) and some altered times -- Summer Sunday Nights
- During the Summer we do a variety of fun activities which help bring the whole church family together.
- During school year: 6:30 to 8 -- King's Kids
- Near the end of the school semester we begin having Wednesday night King's Kids practices, which are needed as the King's Kids close in on their performance date.
- Summer schedule: 6:30 to 8 -- Swim 'n Study
- Throughout the Summer, the kids join the Jr/Sr High for a fun night at a pool. After swimming and some snacks, the group has a short devotional time together.
